Episode 30-50
There are reports going around about the Sixth Extinction capturing Godzilla and sending him across the United States. Footage of the attacks is shown to the DRF, and Mikaela immediately confirms that the culprit is not Godzilla, despite physical similarities. Nicole calls the creature GINO (Godzilla In Name Only), while Mikaela calls it Zilla, feeling its slim stature takes the "God" out of Godzilla. Nicole hacks into the Sixth Extinction's broadcasts and learn that they plan to unleash Zilla on Boston, and they take action.
DRF units attack Zilla, but he uses his speed to dodge their attacks. Godzilla then appears, and a violent fight occurs. Godzilla has the advantage of size and power, but Zilla is faster and more agile. Things then get worse, as King Kong has arrived, seeking to settle a score with Godzilla, and the battle erupts into a three-way melee. In the battle, Nicole is trapped in rubble. Mikaela sees this and has a flashback, but she overcomes it and braves her way through the fight to save Nicole, with some help from Kong. Godzilla kills Zilla and overpowers Kong. Then, a thunderstorm arrives and lightning strikes Kong, increasing his power. Kong then uses his abilities to stun Godzilla, throwing him all the way into the sea.
They return to base after taking Kong to Monster Island. Nicole thanks Mikaela, who decides to tell her the truth of her past and why she's not interested in dating: Mikaela was living in Japan with her father. She also had a crush on a boy her age, and they were the best of friends. Mikaela was 11 when Godzilla came to Tokyo, and he destroyed their school. Mikaela was injured with a broken arm, but her friend never made it. Since then, she had distanced herself from the world and worked to become an artist. Mikaela takes Nicole to visit his grave near the Tokyo Quarantine Zone, and she breaks down. Nicole comforts Mikaela, and they go to a restaurant together, where they become best friends...
