Episode 5.3

Firestorm

抗議の嵐

“May the Dragons watch over you.”
-Zeon before Daizua departs.

“They always have.”
-Daizua as he sees his parents as dragons.

Plot:

Theo and Selena are getting close to each other, and they almost kiss, but Tullait breaks past them, being pursued by Amakav (again).  Theo gets on his Andrewsarchus and drives the odd predator back into the Gateway to Alayssia.  Meanwhile, Jaugaibee forms a relationship with an orphaned Cryolophosaurus named Jaguar and adopts a baby T-rex she names Ska’ok.

Elsewhere, the Mutations and Black Dinosaurs are having an uneasy alliance, as Zorg seems to be replacing the Black Rex as commander of the Black Dinosaurs.  The Black Rex attacks our heroes, but is then pushed to the ground by Akadoor, who attempts to kill Zeon, but he defeats him after awakening his true power, and Athena tricks him into entering the Gateway to Alayssia.

Later, Zeon and Daizua head to the Tree of Voices to pray to the Dragon Monarchs.  Zorg ambushes them, but the Dragon Monarchs, Toruk and Eywa, manage to drive him off.  They convince Zeon to gather the dinosaurs, and as he leaves to do so, they reveal to Daizua a secret they kept for years: they are his own parents reincarnated.  After a happy reunion, Daizua sets off to help the dinosaurs, bearing his new title, “Son of Dragons.”

The Guardians and Dinosaurs all lead an army of noble warriors, including a Smilodon named Thunder Fang.  Zorg, the Mutations, and Black Dinosaurs mount a bloody fight.  Zeon and Daizua both fight Zorg, while Athena convinces the Black Rex that Zorg will replace him as leader of the Black Dinosaurs.  Zorg slashes at Daizua, but Lilyena moves in to take the blow, saving Daizua.  Zorg prepares to finish them off when the Black Rex intervenes, crippling Zorg.  Zeon moves in t help the Black Rex cripple Zorg, then Toruk and Eywa then arrive to teleport Zorg and the remaining Mutations back to Alayssia.  They heal the badly wounded Lilyena, and Daizua declares victory.

Daizua, Lilyena, Tullait, Kaimuaik, Egeeat, Goola, and Jaugaibee are now heroes and legends to Dinosauria.  They eventually depart back to Alayssia, but not before saying their good-byes, hoping to see each other again.  Yet their stories are far from over; Zeon still has to defeat the Black Dinosaurs, and as Team Neo settles back in their home, they are watched by Tuagor from a nearby cliff…
