Alan and company arrive at Hawaii to infiltrate the Kaijunite laboratory for information. Hayama Matsumoto, the Japanese head of the lab, shows that he has perfected the Kaijunite into bombs with the blast radius of a nuke. After the AKF kills a Kaiju with a bomb, they transport the crystallized carcasses to Hayama in order to make more Kaijunite bombs.
Mothra arrives to destroy the lab, and the Elias join, accompanied by a resurrected Belvera. Hayama stops them and explains that they don't need Earth's Kaiju anymore, as they have a weapon that can kill ANY Kaiju. Disgusted, the Elias leave while Alan escapes Jones.
Concurrently, many shipping disasters occur around Hawaii, the cause of which is the Kaiju Cetatyrannus, who violently arrives at Pearl Harbor and rampages. The beast traps Ellie, but is soon attacked by Godzilla, who is now larger than before. Both Kaiju viciously fight. They both retreat, Godzilla badly wounded. During the fight, Eric rescues Ellie, and Alan finally warms up to him.
The next day, Cetatyrannus attacks Honolulu and violently attacks the AKF bombers. During the conflict, a huge explosion goes off in the middle of the battle ground, and a large Kaiju (later named Claudandus) arrives to crystallize Cetatyrannus with Kaijunite. They bomb Claudandus, but Alan, the AKF, and Hayama discover to their horror that the Kaiju is IMMUNE to the effects of Kaijunite and actually feeds on it, as he starts devouring Cetatyrannus' crystallized carcass. Claudandus then rampages Hawaii and crystallizes the entire Hawaiian isands, killing everyone there, but Alan, Ellie, and Eric escape on a plane to Tokyo. Alan warns Hayama that he is now going against an enemy immune to his own super-weapon. Hayama begins to consider what the Elias told him and wonder if they were right...
