G-Cell Mutants

Shinji takes a turn for a story.  He tells the story of Zilla Jr.

After the first Zilla was killed in New York, Dr. Nick Tatopoulos finds an unhatched egg in Madison Square Garden, and it hatches into a baby, who thinks the human it sees is its father.  The creature is studied by HEAT, which is composed of Tatopoulos, his assistant Elsie Chapman, chemist and engineer Mendel Craven, tech-head Randy Hernandez, supervisor Monique Dupre, and their robotic assistant N.I.G.E.L.  They are also occasionally assisted by Major Hicks, Nick's ex-girlfriend and reporter Audrey Timmonds, and her cameraman Victor "Animal" Palotti.

Zilla Jr. was being tracked down by HEAT for some time, and encountering Kaiju that Zilla fights.  In Jamaica, they encounter and destroy C-Rex.  In Mexico, they encounter and defeat El Gusano.  Their adventure ends in Alaska, where they were chased by Kamoebas, and discover that Zilla had mated with a mutant monitor lizard called Komodithrax.  Kamoebas attacks them and their nest, but an earthquake takes them all except Zilla, who laments the loss of his mate and offspring.

Later, sightings indicated that Zilla is covered in scars, which were likely caused by Godzilla...
