Jyarumu is the Yamato Guardian of Shadow, and has protected Japan until a few thousand years ago, when he developed a hatred for humanity and attacked until Balkzardan stood in his way and fought him. However, their powers opposed each other, and they disappeared forever. Had he been around today, his human host would have been Chiba Tomohisa.

Cameo appearance: Flashback in "Battle Positions" when Asuka explains how the Yamato Guardians came into being, and we see a hieroglyphic of the fight between Balkzardan and Jyarumu.
