Swamp Ray

Dasyatis palus is a giant species of stingray that can also tolerate freshwater.  They are harmless but they will sting if stepped on.  The Swamp ray has evolved barbels to detect prey hiding in the mud or sand.  The Sea Men also use its poisonous barbs for their hunting spears.
