TAC - DIABLOCRISTUS

(Now we get to see a good-sized dinosaur)

After we saw the seals chase away the Ephialtodons from their babies, Michael & I saw another larger, more menacing dinosaur; it was a Diablocristus. It rushed at the seals, which tried to drive it away. However, the seals were not as successful. The dinosaur simply snarled and snatched one of the seals and took it away to eat it.

Diablocristus was the last remnant of the early ceratosaurids that ruled from the Late Triassic to the Late Jurassic. I don't know how they survived from such an early time, but from what I saw, Diablocristus was highly aggressive, even to its own kind. It was like a wolverine on steroids. It was also the huge nasal crests on the head that impressed me. They looked like they were used in combat and mating rituals.

As we looked on, the predator picked up our scent, turned to see us and attacked us! As Mike & I ran, we tripped down a small sand dune, rolling to the other side. It was here that we encountered an ancient creature...
