Kaijunite

Kaijunite is a mineral I thought up for our last Godzilla chapters, Severed and Battle Cry.  Based on the Transformium from Transformers 4.

It's a rare Earth crystal (said to have been created by Orochi).  It is highly unstable and absorbs organic matter upon physical contact, and because of this, it is extremely dangerous.  Anything that touches it is petrified into a statue corpse of Kaijunite, and it works on ALL organic life, humans and Kaiju alike.  The Kaiju Claudandus, however, is immune to the deadly powers of the mineral.  In fact, Kaijunite is Claudandus' food source, and he shoots a beam that does the same thing the mineral does.

On the bottom left is a piece of the mineral.  In the middle is the petrifying process (I used Gomess as a "test subject"), and on the top right is a close up of a crystallized carcass.  It does to organic life what the Seeds did to the dinosaurs in the movie, only turning them into crystal instead of metal.
