2.8 – Until All Are One

Plot:

Earth's Kaiju unite to ultimately push back the Vortaak, but are forced to face a resurrected King Ghidorah.

Full Summary:

Masato & company prepares to fight off the Vortaak. Godzilla returns and fights the four Vortaak kaiju in Osaka. Lord Ghidorah, meanwhile, reneges on his deal with Vorticia and unleashed his secret weapon: a skeletal Kaiju he calls “Monster X.” Quickly, Godzilla is overpowered by the new arrival.

When the kids loose hope, Rodan arrives, but now he’s red, and can now fire a heat ray similar to Godzilla. Masato believes that he may have absorbed energy from the crystals during the Crystal Incursion earlier. Konno nicknames him “Fire Rodan.” Shortly after, a new Mothra quickly arrives with Earth’s Kaiju, joined by other creatures like Kamacuras, Kumonga, Zilla, Titanosaurus, and even the new Battra. Belvera reveals why she switched to help the heroes; when the new Mothra & Battra were born, they revealed to her that she was Moll and Lora’s third sister. She was shocked when she realized she dedicated her life to destroying the only thing she had left, including her only family.

Zilla manages to destroy Orga and Hedorah. Mothra & Battra try to persuade Gigan & Megalon to give up their evil ways. Megalon agrees, having finally realized the sins he committed on the mortals. But Gigan refuses and ruthlessly attacks Mothra. Megalon steps in, loads himself with too much power, and self-destructs, taking Gigan with him.

When the Vortaak retreat, the heroes proclaim victory. However, Godzilla is still fighting Monster X when Lord Ghidorah enters the alien kaiju’s body. Monster X is taken over by the power, and King Ghidorah is reborn! He fires a burst of Gravity Beams at the Kaiju king, but Zilla runs in and takes the full force of the blast, being obliterated in the process. This prompts the other kaiju to attack. Together, they overwhelm Ghidorah; Godzilla decapitates his middle head. Ghidorah flies out of Earth’s atmosphere to prepare a full blast; Battra, with Belvera on his back, tries to stop him, but gets blasted down. He survived, but Belvera is mortally wounded. She said it was her dying wish to protect her world and sisters. Then, Earth’s Kaiju combine their powers and obliterate King Ghidorah, who crash-lands somewhere in the world, dead.

Earth’s Kaiju roar in victory and return to their territories. Masato feels much closer to Natsumi now, and life is about to change forever.
