It is now the Silurian period, and Earth has recovered from the gamma ray burst. And the survivors have taken on new forms. More advanced fish like Entelognathus are evolving true jaws and more complex brains to help navigate to breeding areas. The arthropods are evolving as well, they range from the semi-aquatic Brontoscorpio to the crocodile-sized Pterygotus.
Other life has appeared too. Sponges filter food alongside sea urchins. And on land, the first plants have evolved. Though the arthropods are more vicious than before, the fish are smarter, and soon, they won't be such soft targets. Evolution will give them weapons to fight back...
