The Permain is coming to an end. All the continents have combined to form one giant continent called Pangaea. The center of the continent is a vast desert that expands for miles. This has caused a huge climate change and some volcanic activity. The animals of the time are looking more like mammals. In Africa, there are herbivores like the large Moschops and the burrowing Diictodon. They are prey for the amphibian Rhinesuchus, the fearsome Gorgonops, and the venomous therocephalian Euchambersia. In Siberia, the fierce gorgonopsid, Inostrancevia, preyed on the ancient turtle relative, Scutosaurus.
Life has been struggling in this new world due to the climate, volcanoes, and drought. That was bad enough, but it got worse; supervolcanoes in Siberia erupted. This super-eruption sparked the worst mass extinction of all time. It wiped out more than 90% of all living things, making it even worse than the extinction that will destroy the dinosaurs. But life was able to recover, and slowly but steadily, the survivors worked to repopulate the empty Earth...
