1.6 – Yin and Yang

Plot:

Moll and Lora tell Konno to help Masato fulfill his destiny. Belvera also manages to gain control over Godzilla in order to retrieve an ancient artifact of power, but Moll & Lora convince the kids to help Mothra free Godzilla from Battra's grasp.

Full Summary:

At Yokohama, young college student Konno Tadayoshi is living alone in his dorm, playing with his “imaginary friends”. Among them is a diamond he named “Victor.” He sees it as his guide and it has an unusual marking on it. Suddenly, a strong wind blew his doors open, and when he rushed to close it, he turned around to find that a pair of tiny women were standing on the table: the Elias!

Moll and Lora had come to take “Victor” away and hide him on Infant Island, because of the powers it carried; it held the secret to King Ghidorah’s unholy power. But alas, someone else had found Konno already! Smashing through a window, another equally small woman appeared, clothed in purple and black and wearing a cape. It was Belvera!

Darkest of the fairies, she sought to use King Ghidorah’s power to end the “plague of humanity!” After a pitched battle between the women, Belvera finally surrendered and retreated. The Elias told Konno to find Masato Ishimaru, who they say could help with the problem. Konno manages to find Masato with Natsumi and decides to join them, looking for adventure. Masato reluctantly agrees, and he finds him annoying.

Elsewhere, Belvera summons Battra to find Godzilla and take over his mind. She is going to use Godzilla to fish out the artifact Konno is carrying! Godzilla soon goes on the rampage in Yokohama, destroying everything. Belvera soon realizes that Godzilla doesn’t stop destroying and gets Battra to make him stop, but it fails.

The Elias summon Mothra to free Godzilla and stop Battra. Godzilla briefly attacks Mothra, but she manages to dodge his atomic breath and repel him with her scale attack until Battra interferes. As Godzilla attacks the kids, Konno fires a bazooka at Godzilla’s face, only to finally realize that military weaponry has little to no effect on him.

Mothra and Battra engage in a vicious dogfight in the sky, and Battra proves to be stronger, as he blasts a hole in Mothra’s wing. As he moves in, Godzilla shoots him down, sending Battra plummeting to the sea. Mothra gives her thanks to Godzilla and the children, and returns to Infant Island.

Konno decides to stay with Masato & Natsumi, hoping to meet new kaiju along the way.
